These hooks are awesome. I fish a lot with frozen bait and with these hooks, they helped a lot. The wire keeps the bait from sliding off, especially when surf casting. I used a frozen anchovy on the hook and launched my bait into the surf. And this hook saved my bait. Now instead of using up a bag of anchovies, I only need about 1/3 of a bag! I love this hook. I use chicken liver for cat fishing and with every other hook that I've used just doesn't compare. I don't ever have to wonder whether my bait is still on the hook. I can just sit back and know that I'm all set and just wait for that big bite. It's a great product. Wish someone would have thought of it sooner. Does this reviewer recommend this product? YES

Overall I think the bait saver hooks are great if you fish for carp, catfish, or any other fish you use bread or meat to catch. These are the hooks for you. The bait saver hook has a wire that you put over barb of the hook that keeps your bait in place and won't come off when you cast it. Highly recommend bait saver hooks! I catfish. Birds and bass cannot get a minnow stuck in the tail off. The hook has no problem with 21 lb. catfish.   I would like to see a 8/0 to a 10/0 hook.   Does this reviewer recommend this product?
